We’re delighted to share that Penmaenuchaf has retained its Michelin Key for 2026, continuing its recognition among the hotels distinguished by the Michelin Guide across the UK and Ireland.
The Michelin Key celebrates hotels that stand out for their individuality, style and quality of hospitality. To retain the Key for a second year means a great deal to all of us at Penmaenuchaf, particularly following one of the most significant chapters in the hotel’s story so far.
This year saw the completion of Penmaenuchaf’s refurbishment, bringing a new chapter to our house while retaining the character, warmth and sense of welcome that have always been at its heart.
Set between the mountains of Eryri and the Mawddach Estuary, Penmaenuchaf has always been deeply connected to its surroundings. That connection can be found throughout the hotel, from the landscape beyond its windows to the Welsh produce on the table and the people who make every stay feel personal.
Retaining the Michelin Key following the refurbishment is a wonderful recognition for the whole Penmaenuchaf team, whose care and attention continue to shape the experience of staying here.
