From woodland paths and riverside trails to panoramic walks overlooking the Mawddach Estuary, Eryri is full of places to explore on foot.
Close to Penmaenuchaf, discover the Precipice Walk, a scenic circular route overlooking Llyn Cwm Howel, or follow the Panorama Walk for far-reaching views across the Mawddach Estuary and surrounding mountains. The Torrent Walk offers another rewarding route through ancient woodland, following the Clywedog River through the Dôlgoch gorge.
For a longer, gentler adventure, follow the Mawddach Trail along the old railway line from Dolgellau towards the coast at Barmouth, taking in views across the estuary and mountains beyond.
Whether you’re looking for a gentle morning stroll or a longer day on foot, our Guest Experience team can recommend walking routes to suit your time and ability.
