The Mawddach Estuary is a hidden gem for fishing enthusiasts. This serene estuary, flanked by the rugged Eryri National Park, offers not only breathtaking natural beauty but also an abundance of fish species that make it a dream destination for anglers.

Fishing permits and licences

Penmaenuchaf has four permits that allow our guests complimentary access to fish in the Dolgellau Angling Association waters of the Mawddach and Wnion rivers and Llyn Cynwch.

You must have your own fishing licence and equipment, and the season and DAA regulations must of course be observed. Our reception team have a fishing info info pack that includes maps and fly recommendations.
